I haven't thought of freezing fruit, because I'm afraid it would ruin it with frostbite or mushiness when thawed. Tips on other fruits please!!! Peaches, strawberries, grapes, pineapple??

I’d love to know how to freeze the different types of fruit. I get the flash freezing for blueberries and raspberries, but would think strawberries would turn to mush. And what about the wonderful peaches, mangoes? Thanks.

I’m with Eileen – could you give us more info on how to freeze different fruits successfully? Some of my family's favorites are: 1 - cantaloupe w/ OJ concentrate and ice, 2 - kiwi, pineapple and ice and 3 - Mango, yogurt and ice

I live in Austin, Texas and our produce prices are great seasonally. I tried once and had ice on my fruit and my chopped onions were soggy. Thanks

Hi, can you be a little more specific (for someone like me who is kitchen challanged) about how to stockpile different fruits and veggies? We love smoothies in our house. Everytime my two year old hears the blender going he yells "Smoovie?" "No son, I'm making pesto."

I have been wanting to ask you if you just have a standard refrigerator with freezer or do you have a seperate freezer chest to store all of your frozen foods?<br

I bought a bit of fruit today so I am hoping it will last longer than a week(maybe two?) too much work to make a smoothie, easier to eat it straight up! :)

so how does this freezing work? just stick it in a plastic container in the freezer and pop it open when you want to eat/cook with it? Actually, melons in general work really well!

Pineapple is awesome in smoothies! It gets so creamy! Watermelon is great too, it also gets creamy. If you try to freezze then with the skins on they get a very bitter taste.

One thing when freezing banana’s you need to remove the outer skin. I find the best way is to wrap them in plastic wrap then into foil. They can last up 6 months.<br

Even at the grocery store in town with the cheapest prices on produce (which is second-rate junk), their lowest price would be twice what you've quoted. And we're just north of California, so you'd think our produce prices would be better. Even with our local farmers' markets or going out and picking the fruit ourselves, we can't get prices this low. You are very blessed!

Wow – I can’t believe the amazing prices you have found for fruit, and how low your target prices are! My hubby and kids love them though so they are worth it. Recently read that if you have some getting too ripe you can freeze them and thaw them later for banana bread! Had never thought of that before but it's a great idea if you don't have time to make the bread and your bananas are ready.

I wish I could find bananas for less than .30!
