Everyone has a task…the 11 year old gets drinks ready, the 6 year old puts down placemats and napkins and the almost two year old lays forks and/ or spoons. They all like to help with the cooking and I try to include them as much as safety allows.
I’d love to win this!

What tips do you have for getting your kiddos to help out and participate in meal time? For meal prep? For dinner table prep? For clean-up?
Through the years I would let each child pick a meal each week that he/she wanted, and they would help prepare it. It would bring them pride to see it served and eaten.
My 16 month old would love this. She loves to help mommy and daddy cook.
would love to win
my kids love to dump things into the bowl and stir. They also each have jobs to do at dinner time. One sets the table, each one has to clean up their area before leaving the kitchen, one puts food away and one helps me wash up the dishes.
I want to win!!!!
I emailed all my friends about this great website!!!
The kiddos get to choose a certain night where one of their favorites is made. They love to measure and mix. One person is assigned the setting of the table for the week and on child clears the table- they rotate through the schedule! They love being included in meal plans!!
I would love to win this! My daughter makes us ‘dinner’ and ‘breakfast’ all the time. Hours of fun!
I have my daughter stand on a step stool and stir. She also helps arrange food on plates or add veggies to each plate. Of course we stay away from a hot stove/oven and the veggies are raw. She also just sits with her own bowl and spoon and makes dinner while I cook. Anything to keep her occupied for a little while!
my two nephews are very creative, and i think it would be a hoot to watch them “make” breakfast for mom.
thanks for offering this giveaway!
I would love to win this Land of Nod Breakfast in Bed set for my beautiful daughter Savanna Lilly who is just 2.

All 3 of my kids are at the perfect age to help out – 8,7 and 3. They love to help and tell everyone how good it is. We also clean up together. I truly enjoy it.
Thank you!

I think the boys would love this!
The boys (3 years old) are much more invested in meal time if they are able to help. They especially like to get things ready for their sister and take things out of the refrigerator so we concentrate on these tasks. They can easily get the salad dressing, bar-b-que sauce, etc out of the frig. They are able to get their own untensils with the aid of the stool. The stools have been invaluable to us (although a downfall now that the baby is mobile and loves climbing). It brings them right up to where the action is!
I would love to win this for Bella!
I don’t know that I have any tips. Bella loves to count out the plates, forks, and cups. We sing a simple song while stirring that she loves. I just try to think of simple things that she can do. When I cut veggies, she puts them in a bowl for me.
This would be great for my 5 year old grand-daughter who loves waking her parents up at 6 each morning ready and raring to go. She can make them “breakfast in bed”.
I love to play with my grandchildren it keeps me young at heart
I posted this site on my FB page and updates…promoted the site and its’ Fabulous giveaways!!! I Hope we win…
This is adorable! I would so love to win it for my family.
How to get the kids to help out? They don’t know they have a choice.
When they’re big enough to carry napkins to the table, they do. As they get older they help more – set table, get things from refrigerator, clear table, load dishwasher. Around here if you want to eat, you help out.
