My five year old loves to help me make dinner. He is my sous chef and loves to be called that. I let him do real jobs (mixing, stirring, pouring, scooping) and he loves it. He likes the praise he gets.
I think the best way to have the kids help in the kitchen is for them to be active participants…as long as they are small tasks that they won’t get bored with and wander off in search of greener pastures. Fun things like giving the pancake batter a “lucky stir”, cutting fun shapes in toast with cookie cutters, and cleaning dishes are always popular in our house!
I would enjoy winning this cute playset for my kiddos!
I am promoting this contest on my Facebook status
I so would love to win this. How cute!
I get them involved with simple supper preparations. Helping to measure out items, dumping them in the bowl, stirring, etc
I set out the plates, silverware and cups for my oldest to set around the table. After supper he is also responsible for cleaning his plate off in the trash, pushing in his chair and making sure his hands and face are clean.
I only have a 5 year and 2 year old so we are just in beginning stages of helping.
So fun! Maybe this will teach my kiddo to make me some real breakfast in bed!
I want to win!!
I posted this one on facebook too!
My nephew doesn’t need any encouragement cleaning. I think its in his blood. You just hand him a towel, and he gets to work. He loves to clean: windows, tables, and dishes (though he plays in the bubbles more than washing!)
My daughter loves to play with her kitchen. She recd her kitchen for her first christmas and still plays with it every day. She would love this!
I would love to win this too!
This is so cute. I’d love to win it as a gift for my son.

My son is 3, and he is great at setting the table. He can get 3 forks/spoons and napkins for everyone. And it saves me the trouble of doing it.
I’d love to win!
Would love to win!
I could use some more tips! My preschooler does love to measure and stir though so anytime I can let him help with that he’s happy. It’s not always very productive and involves lots of yelling, but he likes it.
I would love to win this set!
I emailed this to all of my friends and family.
I just ask. I believe children are very interested in our world and I think it’s productive to include them whenever possible.
I would love to win this for my daughter.
