Nope, the cantaloupe goes on the side. Cut into wedges or chunks...or have any other favorite fruit...that's just what we ate! Enjoy!

<a

Do you need cantaloupe for the recipe? Cant wait to try it.

I notice you have 1/2 Cantaloupe in the recipe, but I didnt notice in the direction where to put it in. I am doing weight watchers on-line and just put this through the recipe builder using an egg substitute and a low point bread. At 8 servings this only comes out to around 3 of them important things that I have to count!

Wow this looks great! I did make several substitutions to save calories and it was still delicious! I figured out the whole dish as made is about 1900 calories and I made it for 1145 calories. Not that it was a high calorie meal to begin with, but I just like to cut it as much as possible. I used egg beaters, I can't believe it's not butter, splenda and 45 calorie bread (8 slices). It did take longer to cook, I might have needed more bread. Next time I'm going to add a bit of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Great recipe, thanks a lot!!! ~

This was fantastic.
