Entry #2–I’m so not a meal planner, but would love to be! I’m horrible at trying to figure out what to cook for dinner after working outside of the home every day. If I had a schedule and a routine, that would help. I’m just not sure where to begin! Would love some help in this area.

I am so in a rut with my meal plan. I go back to work full time next week. So this would really help me. So I can get other things done that save me money. (Like cooking from sratch.) Instead of spending my time meal planing.

I try to menu plan but either we get rushed and don’t have time. And sometimes we get tired of eating the same old same old meals over and over. It also takes some time to come up with a menu so having a little help would make it easier.

I am a horrible meal planner. We have too many tastes at our house – 1 person loves broccoli, another hates it with a passion, 1 wants alfredo sauce, 1 wants spaghetti sauce. Most meals become a buffet just to please everyone. My work schedule sometimes overrides my plans, as I get home to find everyone has already eaten leftovers. Would love to win, just to overcome these two issues.

My husband and I are seniors who are newly retired. I used to cook for a big family, but now they have families of their own and I just can’t bring myself to do any type of meal planning! I guess I have lost my incentive, with just the two of us. I wander the aisles of my local Krogers, not knowing what I want to make and it is just as bad when I get it home-I never know what I want to make for dinner! PLEASE pick me-my DH is ready to give up!! Thanks,
Janet in MI

I am trying to meal plan but it is very hard. I do it 2-3 days and end up going to the grocery store 2 times a week. I want that to stop. I would like to plan for at least 2 weeks and only shop every 2 weeks. I cook for my husband, son and grandson all fairly picky. I have e mailed this to my friends.

I would love to win this!! I try really hard to plan meals for the week and I will do really good for one week and then I usually run out of ideas and find myself going to the store with no direction. I just grab whatever because I am hungry and tired from working all day and it usually is not very healthy or cheap. This program would be a life saver at dinner time!!!

I have tried meal planning on my own (without software) and find it difficult and time consuming, to enter the recipes & compile a grocery list. I would love to be able to enter all my recipes in, then make my plan with the recipe names, then print a grocery list.

When I feel like menu planning it saves us lots of money and cuts down on stress. But I still get tired of planning what we will eat.

Right now we don’t meal plan. I know we need to because we are definitely stuck in a rut. I would love some new recipes to try but don’t have the time to searching for things that we would all eat. We are transitioning my daughter to regular table foods right now as well so that adds another element to factor in at this point.

I answered YES to all of the questions and then some. I have 6 very picky eaters (including myself :) and we absolutely have to stay on budget with food. Having young children often distracts me from working in the kitchen until I realize it’s getting close to dinner then the questions begin or I’m too pooped to think about it so I really need the help! Thank you for the contest! :)

I try to menu plan each week, but I don’t always do it. What I love about menu planning is the reduced stress at meal time! What a difference that makes! But then I get stuck in ruts and run out of ideas. Anything that would make menu planning easier would be GREAT!

I try my best to plan meals, but I am not great. I will do well for a week and then scramble for the next three weeks. One thing that does help me is to schedule meals in outlook so I can see our weekly calendar.

I am a total meal planner. I am a full-time working mom to 2 beautiful girls under 3 years old. Planning meals allows me to feed my family healthy food and not eat out every night. It’s hard and some weeks are better than others, but it is worth it!
