I am making baby food. I haven’t tried peas or green beans yet but those are on my list to try next. My baby loves yellow squash and zucchini! My best tip… buy a steamer. :)

When my babies are old enough for finger food I cube apples and sweet potatoes and roast them in a little white grape juice with a sprinkle of cinnamon, until almost mushy.

I could really use this book, I lost my job last week and making our own baby food would be a great way to cut the food bill.

I am currently making my own baby food. My tip is to feed the baby “from the table” as soon as possible. Once, of course, you have gone through all the veggies one at a time. This way the babe gets use to the way you cook, and the tastes he/she will be use to for many years to come.

I used to make purees for my son, until we discovered, by chance, that he was totally happy eating pretty well anything. His grandfather gave him a piece of very aged cheddar, and he ended up scarfing much of the package. Now, I put toddler bite-sized pieces of food in a bento box, which is great for letting him have wet foods and dry ones, or sweet and savory. It fits well in a diaper bag, too.

I haven’t made my own baby food, but I’ve been wanting to try. I know it’s a lot healthier and much more cost effective.

I make my own baby food, so far making sure to remember to make a variety of foods rather than stick with the same ones is my best advice!

And finally I don’t make my own baby food anymore… the monster is officially onto “big people” food, which is a lifesaver! Now only one meal for all of us!

The biggest tip I can offer is to make a lot at once and buy bunches of ice cube trays.

I don’t make baby food, mostly because… um… I don’t have a baby. But I’m getting married in two weeks, and we’ve decided kids are definitely in our future! My mom always made our baby food, so I think this book would be a lot of fun!

I just had my first little one, so I haven’t done this yet, but a friend of mine gave me great advice about some of the first thing she fed her little guy and how she made stuff once or twice a week and then froze it in ice cube trays. Even as a busy working mom she found it doable and very convenient. She made me a believer!
