My daughter loves smoothies...this can double as a drink with dinner and her dessert.

Had to use up that last banana before it went bad…used frozen peaches and strawberries! I love sneaking in the flax seed for some extra Omega 3's. Also, I love the idea of adding powdered oatmeal, need to try that as well. Thanks for all your tips & recipes. Everything I've tried so far has been great.

Just picked up a bunch of fresh peaches at Vons for .49/lb. Gonna use these to try some smoothies. Very yummy! It was so good and they didn't even know it was good for them--thanks for the recipe.

We just made this at our house and everyone participated–great to teach the kids measuring and following a recipe plus the satisfaction of drinking your very own creation!! Sometimes for a breakfast meal I add a few teaspoons of powdered oatmeal to thicken the smoothie. With that in the morning, it keeps me going until lunch time Especially if its going to be a busy day.

Banana berry smoothies are a great treat at our house. I see that you use rice 'milk", which is funny because I met another flight attendant this past week that cannot bring herself to drink anything "milk". I had to tell her how rice milk and almond milk is made and promise that it's NOT actually milk. Too funny. I think she may try it and some serious convincing.
Thanks for the new smoothie. Can't wait to try it.

Yum! I love smoothies too and it;s fun to try what others come up with. We've gotten to the point where I very rarely put any kind of sweetener in a smoothie. Bananas are enough to make it plenty sweet as long as they are nice and ripe. I slowly over time cut back on the sweetener so it was a gradual process. I wish my cost was as low as yours but we only use almond milk (runs about 50 cents a cup although I just use about a cup and add water like you do).

We make smoothies just about every day here.
