Thank you for taking the time to post and link us! My DH was recently laid off and money’s starting to get really tight. This was really enlightening. That conference Faithful Provisions mentioned sounds really nice… we’ve been to a different one before but that one sounds like it would “fit” with us better. Too bad it’s this weekend.

I think it’s great of you to do this. Many years ago my husband was out of work for one whole year, and it was then that we really had to get serious about living more frugally. We got through it, but it would have been nice to have connected with others going thru it at the same time too.

Thanks for the link, Erin! As I mentioned when I wrote that post, I was kind of ambivalent about sharing my situation. However, looking back I’m so glad I did. If my post helps just one person make it through a tough spot, then it was well worth it.
