Maybe I'm one of those lucky ones, but not much has changed for me since becoming pregnant. I still cook and eat most things I did before. The only thing that seems to really bother me is drinking straight milk. Yet I can eat ice cream and am fine (guess what I've been craving!!)

I’m preggy with my first, a little girl. I remember when I had my son, I couldn't stand the sight, smell, or taste of chicken- especially raw. But, my husband of course was not going to swear off chicken so I politely asked him to cook it and I would leave the room or even go outside. Now, I look back and chuckle at it but, it really grossed me out. It was better with my second. I say, do what you can do and don't feel bad about it. :)

Congratulations! isPermaLink="false">http://www.5dollardinners.com/?p=1004#comment-8565

Congrats! When I was pregnant, it was with my 1st, so I only had to worry about hubby. And I generally made him eat at the chow hall on base :) I couldn't even stand to go to the commissary, because the smell of raw meat was SO strong! I just made a list of things I wanted (sprite, crackers, and Strawberry Italian Ice!), and told hubby to get what he wanted to eat.
I used a crockpot once I could stand the smell of food cooking- around 18-20 weeks. I just couldn't handle being OVER the food cooking- maybe it was because it was so hot!
I can't imagine future pregnancies, worrying about a family to feed!
As for my cravings- I craved super cheesy brooklyn style pizza from Dominos, and Whataburger cheeseburgers. Odd for me, since I love veggies, but when prego I wanted super greasy food!

Congrats! I didn't know, but when I saw that you couldn't stomach cooking the italian sausage--that's when I suspected. I just saw your segment on the Rachel Ray show this morning. Great job!!!! Love your website--keep up the good work.

I'm expecting #5 and due Nov. 13th so I know exactly how you feel when it comes to making meals at this time. I can't even stand the smell of most things right now. I wish I had some advice/suggestions but I'm really struggling myself and haven't found much that helped except sleep.

Congrats! But I don't other than "what mama wants mama gets". Eat whatever you are craving when you are craving and don't worry unless you A) start to lose weight or B) gain too much too quickly. Keep in mind that the second trimester is not too far away and it usually gets better then.

Congratulations!!
