My daughter has had gastric bypass surgery. For some reason, Ragu bothers her stomach, but Prego doesn’t.

I am doing an article for a college class on feeding your family for $50 or less a week. I just found your site through a search engine and I LOVE your menus and recipes. I’ll be using a link to your blog in my article but also using many of your recipes and menus for my family. Thanks so much for all the hard work that you put into this.

Love Prego, even use it as pizza sauce. Only one problem though, like most jarred sauces they never have enough oregano for me. I admit I am oregano freak. Great mini pizza is half an English muffin, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, a bit of Prego sauce a good pinch of oregano then another wee drizzle of oil and a few curls of shaved parmesan cheese and pop into hot oven until warmed through and cheese melted.

Prego is the best spaghetti sauce

[Reply]

clynsg October 8, 2008 at 8:49 am

I suspect that like most people, dinners with pasta and/or hamburger are a large part of keeping costs to $5. Spaghetti with hamburger meat sauce and bread sticks usually does it for this family.
