I make my own baby food, but I don't use this machine. Not only does the plastic contain BPA, it only cooks in small amounts. I make at least a month's worth of food in one shot and this machine only does enough for barely a week. My best friend has it and used it quite frequently when her daughter first started solids. She quickly learned that it's not all it's cracked up to be--the motor broke twice, it only makes small amounts of food and it contains BPA. You also have a hard time controlling consistence which is paramount with an older baby.

All in all, this looks great but it's not worth the price tag or the chance. I make my daughter's food the good 'ol fashioned way!

Making your own baby food saves so much money. For me though, more importantly, was that it was much easier to transition the babies to table food when I made my own, rather than buying the jars like I did with the first child.
