I always hate cooking meats and having it sit in the greasy liquid in the bottom of crock pot and dislike using foil balls. I will be cooking pork tomoorow and trying your method.

Thanks for sharing placing cookie cutters on the bottom of the crock pot. BBQ pork sandwiches I have found threw trial and error that I cook it in the crock pot but elevate it off the bottom of the pan using 2 medal cookie cutters then coat it with thin layer of BBQ sauce. This is a dry cooking method and keeps all of the moisture within the pork loin and after 8 hours it just shreds into pieces. Then I finish shredding it and adding BBQ sauce until I am happy. I make BBQ pork sandwiches and make home made rolls.. We add baked beans and Cole slaw to make it unforgettable!!

I have found we really enjoy pork loin roasts.
