However, I’m jealous! I’ve almost never seen prices around where we live like what you’re able to get at Kroger. I have no idea where the closest Kroger is… Further than 100 miles away, though. I plugged 100 miles into the search and still turned up 0 results. I’d say, I can’t even get the kind of deals you get at our Wal-Mart Supercenter.

The recipes still look like they’ll make good, thrifty meals, but I somehow don’t think I’ll be able to make them for $5 each, even if I didn’t have to double for bigger appetites. It’s a very, very rare thing for me to be able to make a dinner for even $7 for us, but I will give it a try with what’s available to me, and will be happy if I can just consistently keep our dinners to around $10. I’m going to undertake this challenge and will be really proud of myself if I can do it. Our family budget needs it badly!
