reuse supplies from last year (example: Go through all your old notebooks and neatly tear off the unused pages. You can now use these pages as loose leaf) and add lace trim to skirts and pants for a new look.
even though it will be crowded, I’m hitting the stores on tax free weekend. Coupled with sales and coupons the extra incentive of tax free will help on clothes and supplies!

I’m always watching for deals and clearance sales. I have a big plastic container that I put extra school supplies into from deals and such throughout the year. Clothes are a little tougher but I’m grateful they aren’t into the expensive name brands! Sometimes I get lucky and Kohls has the nice stuff in the 60-80% clearance and the sizes are right!

I am saving on school supplies this year by checking out the circulars and blogs every week and figuring out where the best deals are for the supplies on my children’s lists. A 25-cent box of crayons here, and 50-cent scissors there…

Well, I don’t buy new clothes for school, since we start in August 16th (still TOO hot). For everything else, I look through the ads and only buy the best deals.
